James Burns, President and Chief Technology Officer

Jim is a renowned color scientist with more than 25 years of experience in color, prepress and press technology. As President, he defines, develops and supports ColorSciences' strategic direction through rigorous product research, engineering, development and testing. Jim is an IDEAlliance certified G7 Expert.

As a developer and an advisor to large corporations, such as Kodak, Adobe, Canon, and Konica-Minolta, Jim proved himself to be a master at creating industry-leading solutions for color control and calibration.

As co-founder and technical leader of Southwest Software, Jim led the design and development of multiple patented technologies in color process control and calibration. Prior to Southwest, Jim worked for the Boeing Corporation on the Boeing E-3A AWACS, the largest military software project of its time. Jim holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.

Gregg Taylor, Press and Imaging Expert

Gregg has 30 year experience in the Graphics Arts and Sciences industry, including Kodak where Gregg was a specialist in digital printing plates. Gregg also has been a plant manager for commercial offset where he developed multi-displinary skills to bridge sales, pre-pres and press room issues.
